Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor, best known for her role as Missandei (HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 in the role of a British actress. Emmanuel is a native of England, born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's beach resort she has always had a keen interest in acting. She was noticed by her mother, and when young Nathalie was just three years old, parents signed her up for acting, singing and dancing classes. Emmanuel was quickly developing as a actor, and by the end of her 90s, she was playing a young Nala for"The Lion King," a West End production of the acclaimed show "The The Lion King." Emmanuel began her auditions when she was a young teen for film and TV roles. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she was given the role of Sasha Valentine, a British soap opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95--). Emmanuel acted in the role for four seasons before leaving the series in 2010. Emmanuel received her biggest breakthrough on HBO "Game of Thrones" the following year, as Missandei. In this role, she is the interpreter of Daenerys' Targaryen character (portrayed by Emilia Clarke).
